

QS Safety specializes in the development, design and manufacturing of electromagnetic safety valves and compatible thermocouples for household gas appliances such as gas stoves, gas ovens, water heaters and gas hobs.

The products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art production facility, clean room class according to ISO 14644-1 and GMP, which has several fully automated production lines. Product design and quality management according to an extended version of MIL-STD 105E, were developed in Germany by QS Safety itself. Production is managed directly from Germany by a team of specialists with more than 30 years of experience in their respective fields.

Products
The magnet unit is one of the most important safety devices for domestic gas appliances and is used in conjunction with a suitable thermocouple.

Operating Principle

By pressing the control knob on the gas appliance, the magnet unit is brought into a tightened state and by simultaneously turning the control knob, the gas inflow to the burner is enabled. The subsequent ignition of the outflowing gas creates the gas flame, and the heat generated by the flame causes the thermocouple to supply the electrical energy required for holding. The valve remains open, the gas appliance functions properly. If there is a malfunction, e.g. the gas supply is interrupted for a short time, the flame is extinguished by the cooking product spilling over or similar, the thermocouple cools down, the magnet unit releases and the valve closes the gas supply. This safety function prevents gas explosions, fires, poisoning and much more.
