QS Gas Safety

The demands on the magnet unit are very high: With an electrical power of only approx. 0.3 mW, a valve closing force of 2.6 Newton is required.

The magnet unit, which is electrically connected to the thermocouple, is dimensioned in such a way that it is attracted when burning and releases or remains released when not burning or when the flame is extinguished. The valve disc with sealing ring attached to the solenoid unit controls the gas inflow.

The solenoid unit is installed in the gas tap so that the valve disc is in the path of the gas flow. When tightened, it allows the gas to flow freely; when drained, it stops the gas supply.

Magnet Units

The demands on the magnet unit are enormous: With an electrical power supplied by the thermocouple of only approx. 0.3 mWatt, a valve closing force of 2.6 Newton is required.

The magnet unit, which is electrically connected to the thermocouple, is dimensioned in such a way that it remains tightened when the flame of the burner is burning and releases when the flame is not burning or when the flame is extinguished. The valve disc with sealing ring attached to the magnet unit controls the gas inflow. The magnet unit is installed in the gas tap in such a way that the valve disc is in the path of the gas flow. When tightened, it allows the gas to flow freely; when released, it stops the gas supply immediately.
