Freely Suspended and Self-Aligning Key Components
The initial conditions, such as the low amount of electrical power of around 0.3 mW supplied by the thermocouples and the force of 2.6 N required for reliable closing, place very high demands on the magnet unit. In addition to the required soft magnetic structures, this requires an air gap of less than 1µm. This demands the most precise fit of the magnetic parts, which can be reliably achieved by freely suspended and self-aligning key components.
New Core Design with Special Alloy Structure
The unique and legally protected design of the core and the special, layered alloy result in improved ferromagnetic properties and an extremely homogeneous magnetic field.

The necessary soft-magnetic properties of the ferromagnetic parts are effectively achieved directly and indirectly by means of a special treatment. The outward magnetic fields favour the optimal self-alignment of the parts.
Three-Point Spring Support
The compression spring with maximum possible diameter and precise, three-point spring support ensures the optimum restoring torque for self-alignment of the magnet unit.
Heat-Resistant Light Metal or Flame-Retardant Plastic Housing
The magnet units are available in two versions - in thermoplastic plastic housing and in light alloy housing for an extended temperature range.

Both versions are characterised by high temperature resistance, exceptional strength, rigidity, very good toughness and excellent chemical resistance.
Two-stage Contact Tube Taper for Secure Sealing
The inner diameter of the contact tube is reduced to the diameter of the bare coil wire to minimise leakage and reduce the welding volume and thus unnecessary heating.
